Hello, and welcome to the Scooby-Zone, the podcast where Big Bad and Bandaged is back as we watch a bit of Scooby-Doo Media. I'm Rob. And I'm Katie. And today we'll be watching Which Witch is Witch. Episode 13 of Scooby-Doo Where Are You? Lucky Number 13.

SPEAKER_02Definitely. Yeah, the witch and the zombie.
SPEAKER_04What is the difference between a zombie and a mummy?
SPEAKER_02I guess we'll find out.
SPEAKER_04I think it's just clothes.
SPEAKER_02How do you think about it?
SPEAKER_04A zombie's a dead person. Or technically an undead person. And the mummy is a unit. A mummy is a dead person that's been mummified. That is true. And when it's walking around, it's an undead person that's been mummified. And it moved like a like a zombie did. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02With their hand, you know, how they have their arm.
SPEAKER_04So I think it's just a matter of bandages.
SPEAKER_02It might be just a matter of the costume. Okay. We figured that one out. Okay. Alright.
SPEAKER_04You know. There probably is no real difference. There might not be different. After they're probably going to be like, guys, if you do not send us an angry email detailing all the ways that that zombies and mummies are different, I'm going to be disappointed. You are not trying to rage bait you into giving us some fan mail.
SPEAKER_02We need some fan mail. Why isn't anyone giving us any fan mail? We have been asking so many, and very nicely too, we've been asking and requesting. But now we're not getting any. They're making him over there upset. Come on, guys, stop making him mad. You don't want to see when he's you don't want to see him when he's angry, alright? So don't do that.

SPEAKER_02I I guess we could. I mean, one of them we can't, because you know, he's yeah, we can't get Adam West. Well, we also think we can't get Kevin Conroy.

SPEAKER_02Sure. He was Batman. And uh Heath Ledger, we can't get him.
SPEAKER_04He was the Joker. He doesn't count as Joker.
SPEAKER_02Oh, he doesn't. Oh, sorry. We could get well, I don't know how much we gotta do it. We could get Mark Hamill, but I don't know how much we want to do that. I mean, that's them just talking about how much I mean they'll probably talk about how much fun they had, because even just seeing them do the voicing over was just hilarious. I mean, it was just so funny watching them do the dialogue. I mean, they just had they had so much fun. It was just so hilarious watching them do it. I mean, just to see how they did it was just awesome. I mean, that'd be really that's gonna be a lot of fun to tackle when we get there.

SPEAKER_04But you know, we're gonna go ahead, split up, watch the episode, look for some clues, and we will be right back. And we're back. That was which witch is witch. And did we find out which witch was which witch?
SPEAKER_02I know that there was only one witch. Well, technically two, but there was only one. Well, we know which one wasn't the right witch was the blue one wasn't the right, so we guess we did figure out which one wasn't the witch. I guess we figured that one out ourselves, huh?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's that's a confusing name.
SPEAKER_02That is a confusing name.
SPEAKER_04It'd be different if there were like two witches, right?
SPEAKER_02But the second one. Like you just switch a witch. Yeah, that's wishing, right?
SPEAKER_04Boy, they come up across witches a lot, too.
SPEAKER_02I noticed that. Yeah, what is their thing with witches? Ghosts. Ghosts. Hawking dogs and them too. Swinks. Sloinks. Cheapers, kinkies. Oh man, I forgot my own touch phrase. That was good. That was that'll be that'll be a later episode, guys. Sorry for spoiling it for you, but you know. Alright, let's get to it.
SPEAKER_04Alright. The episode starts with a zombie in a boat in a swamp. Just randomly. It's a pretty ugly zombie.
SPEAKER_02It is. It's double ugly.
SPEAKER_04And it really does not look like many dead people I've ever seen.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't, does it? Like they went pretty far with that design, didn't they?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but oh well.
SPEAKER_02Oh well. Well, alright.
SPEAKER_04We then see the mystery machine driving by. Their d mystery ink is driving back from a fishing trip that went bad. Guess nothing was biting that day. I guess not. They are taking a creepy shortcut through a spooky swamp. Which apparently Velma asked Shaggy where what's going on? Why is she why is Fred taking such?
SPEAKER_02Why would you even ask Shaggy? Why how would he even know?
SPEAKER_04What I want to know is, how does Fred know it's a shortcut? But this is the first time he's ever taken it. Right. Search me, but it's creepy. They decide they see a lantern on the side of the road being held by somebody. They like they figure, oh, we'll just ask him for directions.
SPEAKER_02Right. What what what else won't she?
SPEAKER_04You know, they pull over, Shaggy then asks, you know.
SPEAKER_02By himself. He asks by himself.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, we see nobody else in the mystery machine besides Shaggy.
SPEAKER_02He must be really scared. Man, that's why he's also talking to the zombie to help him, because he doesn't know where his friends are for a split second.
SPEAKER_04You know, asks, you know, which way back to the main road. Yep. The figure holds up the lantern and we see the zombie. We see the zombie. He got out of the swamp pretty quick.
SPEAKER_02I know. Where did he put where'd he put the boat he was on? Where did he put that? He must have, he must have put it, brought it to shore, and then walked up. He must have seen the mystery machine coming and was like, oh crap, we have visitors coming.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Uh Scooby is terrified enough that he hides in the bucket in the back of the mystery machine he was fishing out of.
SPEAKER_02That must be a pretty big bucket if shit if Scooby can hide himself.
SPEAKER_04I guess so.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Eventually they come to Swamp's End General Store. So Fred figures, hey, we must be in Swamp's End. Wonder where that is. But he's glad he found it. Fred, I'm pretty sure it's at the end of the swamp. It's right there in the name.
SPEAKER_02Right there in the name.
SPEAKER_04Why are you driving the mystery meeting? Oh, I guess if you're driving, you don't mean we have to navigate. No. Normally somebody else is reading the map.
SPEAKER_02No one was reading a map in this, though, so we know.
SPEAKER_04They should have had Shaggy reading the map. Right. Track record shows, you know. Usually Shaggy's the one reading the map.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we've seen quite a few times where he's reading it or reading it and then having it gone a second later. We're randomly just adding it in, and yet, oh wait, why is he?
SPEAKER_04Or it being upside down.
SPEAKER_02That too. Yeah. He's an expert. He's an expert map reader. Yeah. Yep.
SPEAKER_04No. They go inside the general store and meet a guy named Zeke. Yep. Who tells them the zombie was conjured up by the swamp witch. Yep. Using magical voodoo power.
SPEAKER_00No, not that.
SPEAKER_04That he and his partner Zeb Perkins saw her conjuring the zombie one night while hunting frogs. Apparently. And Scooby, while he's being told the story, is snacking on at first some jelly beans.
SPEAKER_02Yep. No harm there.
SPEAKER_04Then accidentally grabs some jumping beans.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Which cause him to jump around making a mess. Velma says that if they if Zeke gives them a broom, they'll clean it up. Yep. And Fred then tells while they're doing that, Shag and Scoob, go check out Zeb's place.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, Shag and Scoob, they head off to Zeb Perkins' place, which is seemingly abandoned. That's real. It's cobwebs everywhere. It's like all kinds of spooky.
SPEAKER_02Judging by the pad, Shaggy doesn't blame them. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04They notice a large shadow outside. And well, it's Shaggy and Scooby. Neither one of them wants to go outside to check. So you know, to determine this, Shaggy is going to use his expert coin toss skills. He is. In which he tells Scooby, heads I win, tails you lose.
SPEAKER_02I mean, why would you agree to something like that? I mean, it's Scooby was, hmm, okay.
unknownWhat?
SPEAKER_04Tails you lose.
SPEAKER_02You're gonna lose either way. I mean, what would have and he was crying. I mean, what what would have happened if Shaggy said Heads I win? He was still been crying. So either way, Shaggy won. So there was he knew he wasn't gonna go out. So he expert is he used his expertise to make sure he wasn't the one to go outside. Exactly. What would you have done? I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I would have done the exact same thing.
SPEAKER_02Well, that he really isn't an expert anyway tossing if he knew what it was gonna end on anyone anyway. Are you saying I'm not an expert? Well, I'm saying him, not you. I wasn't counting you.
SPEAKER_04Oh man. Scooby goes outside and he finds a chipmunk. Yep. And pretty much figures the chipmunk caused the shadow. Of course. Well in which Scooby then proceeds to just go ahead and kiss the chipmunk.
SPEAKER_02The poor innocent chipmunk. Oh man.
SPEAKER_04I don't know if the chipm. Well, we can tell the chipmunk to not appreciate it because the chipmunk is wiping his face or whatnot.
SPEAKER_02The poor chipmunk.
SPEAKER_04That's not cool, Scooby.
SPEAKER_02No, it's not. Scooby versus a chipmunk, and yet the poor chipmunk gets attacked by a dog. Which you don't even know.
SPEAKER_04Scooby goes back inside and the zombie slams the door behind Scooby. Yep. So the zombie at least was there. Yeah. Yeah, I mean, who else did a pet zombie? Shaggy and Scooby then find a small figure that looks like Zeb on the bed. Yep. And they figure, oh no, poor Zeb was shrunk down. I thought he shrunk. No, it turns out it's just a voodoo doll. It's just a voodoo doll. Um yep. You know. Yep. The game then decides to get into a boat after Shag and Scoob have met up with them. Yep. Brought them the voodoo doll of Zeke of Zeb. Yep. Almost said Zeke there. You did sit technically. Yeah. Stop giving the people names. Like Zeb and Zeke.
SPEAKER_02Stop giving them like giving them the same first letter, okay? Then it will be a lot easier to work with. Uh-huh. Oh boy.
SPEAKER_04You know, they get into a boat to follow the witch and the zombie. And they end up at the witch's shack.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Um, uh ignoring all of the signs saying to stay out. Right.
SPEAKER_02Why would why wouldn't they listen? But then again, we know why they won't listen.
SPEAKER_04Because you don't believe everything you read.
SPEAKER_02That's what Gassio tells us. Yep. That's pretty good. Don't believe that.
SPEAKER_04And inside of the witch's shack, they find that the witch has voodoo dolls of them. Of almost all of Mrs. Almost all of them. There's no voodoo doll for Scooby. Apparently not. And the amount of pints sticking into some of these. Like it's crazy. Okay. Daphne's has two. Yep. One in her stomach, one in her leg. Yep. Fred has two, one in his stomach, one in his leg. Yep. But even worse, it's missing his ascot. Yep. So how can we be sure that's Fred? Right, how can we be sure that's Fred? Velma's got one in her neck. Only one. And Shaggy with his deep V-cut top. Yeah. V-neck cut shirt.
SPEAKER_02V-neck cut shirt. He's got four in him somehow.
SPEAKER_04You know his uh his shoulder one in each shoulder. Yep. Was it his leg?
SPEAKER_02It might have one in his head.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, but for sure, one in his head.
SPEAKER_02I'm thinking one. I'm trying to think one might be.
SPEAKER_04Wait a minute, is the leg or his stomach? I think it might. I don't uh I think no, I think it was his leg.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04Because yeah, like that v-neck was basically down into his stomach. It's like, why what is going on? You want a visual left person, like you know, that v-neck could have was like any lower, and it basically would have just been a vest.
SPEAKER_02It would have been a vest. You're right. That was pretty low. I'm like, wow.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I was not expecting that.
SPEAKER_04It's like Shay should have been on the cover of a romance novel. That's what I was thinking.
SPEAKER_02He should have been on a romance novel.
SPEAKER_04I mean, which is fine for Shay, like I get he gets more girls than Fred does.
SPEAKER_02Well, because Fred is technically with Daphne. So that makes sense.
SPEAKER_04That's not been proven.
SPEAKER_02Well, I know, but it is technically.
SPEAKER_04And I'm willing to bet that Daphne was with Shaggy all throughout the 80s.
SPEAKER_02Oh, jeez. Well, yeah, because she was they were together a lot more, but I don't know. That would be a little bit stretching and saying she's with Shaggy when she was with Fred. But then someone, a certain someone we'll find out later, says that Daphne's settling for Fred. So we'll find out who that is when we get that park. Oh, you know.
SPEAKER_04That's fine. I mean, Scooby doesn't Scooby doesn't really need romantic relationships most of the time.
SPEAKER_02Nope. But he does get them later on. It's a little weird. Yeah. It's like, hmm, whatever.
SPEAKER_04Going back to the episode. Because that's what you guys want to hear. Yep, right. Scooby pokes the Shaggy voodoo doll in the back. Yep, in the back. In the back. And at the same exact time, Shaggy accidentally backs into a fork. Which is randomly there. He got voodooed.
SPEAKER_02I've been voodooed. You just backed into the how how was that fork there? There was how was the fork there in the first place? And Shaggy randomly walked into it. I mean, it didn't drop on the floor. You know, like you would think with that type of movement, it would just fall on the floor.
SPEAKER_04It was an incredibly well-timed coincidence.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Which that doesn't mean anything when it considered voodoo. Not that I'm, you know, pointing anything out, but it's like, hmm.
SPEAKER_04The witch suddenly appears in the doorway. Yep. Basically, like accusing, like, hey, you ignored my signs. Yep. Now you're gonna pay. Daphne.
SPEAKER_02I'll pay. How about four bits?
SPEAKER_04Daphne says, Well, you shouldn't believe everything you read. When all of a sudden, she vanishes.
SPEAKER_00Hmm.
SPEAKER_04Puff of smoke after the witch says something about smoke of evil.
SPEAKER_02Make her disappear.
SPEAKER_04Something like that. Yep. The witch then disappears.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04And, you know. Poor Daphne, all you know, gone in a puff of smoke.
SPEAKER_01Oh no.
SPEAKER_04All that's left are her footprints.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04And it looks like, you know, her footprints slide back to the to the back of the rug she was standing on. Which can only mean one thing.
SPEAKER_02She's got big feet.
SPEAKER_04Yes, she has big feet. It's confirmed.
SPEAKER_02Shaggy confirmed she's got big feet. What?
SPEAKER_04I didn't think I did not know that Shaggy was in the feet.
SPEAKER_02I didn't know that either. Boy. Apparently he's in the big feet.
SPEAKER_04Boy, this is starting to get kind of unhinged, you guys.
SPEAKER_02This is happening, guys. Oh man.
SPEAKER_04No, it means that it must have been a trapdoor.
SPEAKER_02It must it had to open.
SPEAKER_04They go underneath, you know, the witch's shack, and they do find a trapdoor.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Where how the trapdoor opens and how the footprints are positioned, they shouldn't have slid that way. Right. Like, yeah. I don't know if that's just an error on the animation side of the thing.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Anyways, they find footprints underneath.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04And they decide to follow them.
SPEAKER_01Right.
SPEAKER_04And it leads to an old river boat.
SPEAKER_01Riverboat, yep.
SPEAKER_04You know. And they see the zombie boat along with a wooden tip or a metal tipped pole. Yep. That you know the zombie uses to push it.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04But we have no idea what the wooden or what the metal tip is for.
SPEAKER_02Yes. Yep. More for pushing that boat around, I bet. Right? Yep. Hmm. Wonder what it could be used for. Maybe we'll find out.
SPEAKER_04They go onto the river boat and they split up. Shag and Scoob are, you know, on their own, like usual.
SPEAKER_02Like usual.
SPEAKER_04You know. And they come across a box in which Shaggy opens it up and he finds shoes.
SPEAKER_02There are a pair of shoes in here.
SPEAKER_04But they're attached to the zombie, unfortunately.
SPEAKER_02And look what they're attached to. Oh man. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So you know, they start running away from the zombie. Yeah. Go into, you know, the ship saloon, playing some poker, dressed as poker players. Right. So I don't know if we want to add poker players to the cowardly costume compendium.
SPEAKER_02I mean, we could. I don't know how high it would rate, but I don't think we're really ranking it.
SPEAKER_04I think we're just making a comp a list of all their fun disguises.
SPEAKER_02All right. I mean, it yeah, it's a it's not a bad one. I mean, there are better ones. One's coming up, but you know, it's definitely a good one. But they won't it's a disguise they use, so it doesn't work very well because the monster recognizes them.
SPEAKER_04We find out Shaggy's not necessarily an expert at poker.
SPEAKER_02He's not an expert. The zombie is an expert.
SPEAKER_04The zombie helps get Shaggy a full house.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Why is he so mad though? Why is the zombie so mad at him?
SPEAKER_04I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That doesn't make any sense. I don't get that.
SPEAKER_04We cut to Fred and Velma looking around, and Velma finds you know a lantern just hanging on the side. Like, hmm, I wonder. If I pull on this, if it'll open a secret door like it does in the movies.
SPEAKER_02How what movies have you watched, Velma?
SPEAKER_04That's I don't know, but she it snaps, she falls back, hits a brush on a bucket with a soap bar on the brush.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04The bar of soap flies through the air, hits an oil can, which not falls down onto a axe, which then opens up a secret door. Fred asks Velma what kind of movie did she see that in.
SPEAKER_02Must have been a soap opera.
SPEAKER_04That's the TV genre of Velma, not a movie genre.
SPEAKER_02Right. Well, you know, she's an excellent one.
SPEAKER_04I thought she was a smart one.
SPEAKER_02Well, she is, but I don't think she's the smart in the movie media business. I don't think so.
SPEAKER_04You know, they go inside and they see a you know, they find a power winch, some power tools, you know, a cutting torch. Yep. And she covered bundle. And what's that? First they think it's the ghost, but for some reason. Yeah, for some reason Velma knows what Daphne sounds like while gagged. How how she mentions, you know, that sounds like Daphne.
SPEAKER_02Sounds like Daphne.
SPEAKER_04And it turns out to be Daphne with a gag in her mouth.
SPEAKER_02How do you know that that was Daphne? How do you know right? I don't want I actually don't I don't want to know how she we're gonna take. I don't want to know how she knows. Yeah, it's it's a little weird for us guys. We're not gonna touch that topic anymore. We're just gonna leave it as it is.
SPEAKER_04Yes. We cut back to Shag and Scoob. They seem to have lost the zombie. I mean they think they did. Zombie does sneak up on them.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04In which then Shaggy notices that he's got a big bald shadow. A bald edited shadow. He's got two shadows.
SPEAKER_02He's got two shadows.
SPEAKER_04I didn't know he was on Tatooine now with two sons.
SPEAKER_02I didn't know he was on that. This is the second episode where we mentioned something about Star Wars. You know, technically the third, I suppose, would be third, wouldn't it?
SPEAKER_04You know, we're recording this in May. It wasn't that long before, you know, Star Wars Day.
SPEAKER_02Star Wars, Star Wars Day, Star Wars month. This is the May.

SPEAKER_04I'm almost positive that by the time, you know, when people are hearing this, it should be close to the time of the Mandalorian and Grogu.
SPEAKER_02Definitely will be. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04So it's relevant.
SPEAKER_02It is very relevant. You're right. Yep.
SPEAKER_04And if not, I say it is.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we'll say it is, guys. We'll definitely say it is ourselves. Oh boy.
SPEAKER_04Alright. You know, in which the zombie grabs Shaggy.
SPEAKER_02And actually succeeds in grabbing him, which is very surprising. Only one other ghost has been able to actually successfully grab some money.
SPEAKER_04Shaggy does manage to get away. They hide in a closet in which they disguise themselves as a witch. So that's another disguise for the costume compendium.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04They manage to get by the zombie enough by talking like the witch.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04In which the zombie then notices Scooby's tail and grabs Scooby.
SPEAKER_02Double-handed. Both hands he grabs.
SPEAKER_04So not only does he grab Shaggy, he also grabs Scooby. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02By the tail.
SPEAKER_04It isn't the best. Scooby can't get free, so Shaggy gives him a Scooby snack.
SPEAKER_02Oh, here we go. Another Scooby snack.
SPEAKER_04You know, Scooby tells the zombie to let go.
SPEAKER_02And he slaps his hand.
SPEAKER_04Yep. They run off, but then the witch appears.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04You know, and so now they're stuck between a witch and a zombie.
SPEAKER_02Oh no, how's that gonna go?
SPEAKER_04Well, in order to get away, Scoob or Shaggy finds the witch's broom.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04He grabs it. So does the witch. You know. And then, you know, they keep playing that game, and Shaggy wins the broom.
SPEAKER_02And the witch is really shocked that he won.
SPEAKER_04And then You know, they go ahead and run off the side of the, you know, a hole in the floor of the boat.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04And they fall down.
SPEAKER_02They fell into the zombie's boat.
SPEAKER_04Guess it's not a.
SPEAKER_02What isn't a zombie boat?
SPEAKER_04No, it's an airboat.
SPEAKER_02It's an airboat that fell into.
SPEAKER_04Guess the broom wasn't a flying broom.
SPEAKER_02I guess not.
SPEAKER_04Must have been a sweeping broom.
SPEAKER_02Sweeping broom.
SPEAKER_04But, you know, they land in an airboat.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04And they're just in a pile.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Fred and the girls notice and believe that the witch has Scooby.
SPEAKER_02Which that causes Daphne to pull Fred back because for some reason Fred looks really worried that he's a little bit of a scoop.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it looks like Fred's about to just go in and jump the witch.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, what? Like, how is this even how is this even possible?
SPEAKER_04It's because in the future they'll share a voice actor.
SPEAKER_02Oh, okay. Alright.
SPEAKER_04You know. They then start to pummel said witch until they find out it's Shaggy after they've severely pummeled him.
SPEAKER_02Poor Shaggy.
SPEAKER_04I mean, that's just they take the airboat out, in which then the witch is blocking the exit tunnel.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04They crash into said witch, and it turns out to be a balloon.
SPEAKER_02Oh, so we did figure out which witch is which, huh?
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_02One is the real one and one is a balloon. Yep. So we know which is the real one.
SPEAKER_04You know, there's no way to turn the airboat off. Nope. So Scooby drops down an anchor. Which, you know, fishes up an armored car and turns his collar yellow.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, for some reason, how does that happen?
SPEAKER_04You know? They get out of, you know, they get out of the boat onto the you know shore, and using some ropes and pulleys, they pull up the armored car and it's full of money.

SPEAKER_04They figure that's what the witch and zombie must be looking for. Right.
SPEAKER_02What else would they have been at?
SPEAKER_04So what they're gonna do is they're gonna give it to them.
SPEAKER_02What?
SPEAKER_04Yep. What?
SPEAKER_02That doesn't make any fur.
SPEAKER_04We now get to what I like to call the money pit trap.
SPEAKER_02Yay, the money pit trap.
SPEAKER_04Uh Shaggy and Scooby are hiding inside of money bags that are just out sitting there for the witch and zombie to find.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Witches so excited.
SPEAKER_01There's the money. Money, money, money.
SPEAKER_04In which then Scooby pops out of that bag. Zombies buy the other big. Shaggy pops up, like, here, double ugly, go buy yourself a new face.
SPEAKER_02And he doesn't like that at all.
SPEAKER_04They hop off back to where Fred and the girls have the rest of the trap. Yep. Basically, when Fred tells them to duck, they are to hop out of the way while the tree branch he has pulled back is let go of to sway into the witch and the zombie.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04Scooby's bag is stuck, so Scooby accidentally goofs and gets hit by the tree branch as well.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04They land in a cart which is rolling down a hill to the armored car. Yep. And Shaggy expertly ungoofs Scooby by fishing him back.
SPEAKER_03By fishing him back. Yes.
SPEAKER_04You know. So Scooby is caught out of the trap, and the witch and the zombie get trapped into the armored car.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04Local law enforcement is there now.
SPEAKER_02Probably because they contacted him to show up.
SPEAKER_04And basically, you know, they find out that it was Zeb as the zombie and Zeke as the witch.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04That you know sometime ago they had stolen the armored car and hid it in the swamp. Yep. And over time they couldn't find it again. So they used the witch in zombie disguise to search the swamp using the metal-tipped pole, you know.
SPEAKER_01To find it.
SPEAKER_04To find it, you know, when the metal of the pole hit the metal of the truck.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04You know, they know where it is, and then they'd use the power winch to bring it back up.
SPEAKER_01Yep.
SPEAKER_04You know. Seems pretty smart on paper.
SPEAKER_02Right, but yet you sink the sh uh car with a lot of money in it. Yeah. The money would pretty much be all wet and socky and good by now. I mean, I don't think those those bags wouldn't have held them because it would have gone through the bag. It's not like it's a you know, it's not like plastic that could keep it campaigned for a long time. So it's like how I mean, but it's m it's coins though, but yet still that would have gotten all deteriorated over time. Yeah. But I don't know. It depends right. It depends on how long it was the car was in there for.
SPEAKER_04Plus it's swamp water. Who wants to go in a swamp?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, that why would yeah, why would and for a swamp, swamps aren't that deep.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So technically the car would have been somewhat out of it, too.
SPEAKER_04One would think, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Right. But oh wow. Whatever.
SPEAKER_04You know, we wrap up this we wrap up this episode. They're back in the mystery machine. Scooby's still fishing in his little bucket. Yep. In which eventually Scooby does catch a fish.
SPEAKER_02Yay. Somehow.
SPEAKER_04You know, and that's one fish story no one's gonna believe. And that's the end of our episode. Yeah. So now we get the fun responsibilities of funness. So I think we're gonna mix things up a bit.

SPEAKER_04Then, before we get to the Manifest of Monsters and the table of and failure files, I think we'll go straight to the table of snacks.

SPEAKER_02I mean, it was a pretty good episode. I mean, it actually was a lot, you know, a lot more fun. Yeah. We had a lot more fun watching it. You know, I mean, I again, it's probably gonna be at least a solid four. Unless you think differently.
SPEAKER_04I mean, I don't know how I would say. This is okay, this is going to sound really weird considering other episodes where we have had uh super iconic monsters.

SPEAKER_04You know, you know trap uh one, the trap pretty much goes off without a hitch. Right. You know, Scooby Yes. I mean even Scooby goofs. But not because of any real fault of his own.
SPEAKER_02No, he just gets stuck in that trap.
SPEAKER_04But like he also got ungoofed by Shaggy.
SPEAKER_02You know, so he wasn't out of the way in time.
SPEAKER_04So he wasn't caught in the trap.

SPEAKER_04You know, a zombie's an iconic one that made it into the live action Scooby. Right, too.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_04You know, Daphne does get captured. Right. As per what Daphne is known for.

SPEAKER_04You know, I think I think this is like if I had to pick an episode to show somebody that's never seen Scooby before, this would be one of them.
SPEAKER_02It could be, yeah. Definitely could be one of them.
SPEAKER_04We get, you know, Scooby and Shaggy in disguise while running away from the monster.

SPEAKER_04You know.
SPEAKER_02We get the iconic Scooby not wanting to do something and then gets bribed into doing something or falsely put into something and doesn't realize he's gonna lose either way.

SPEAKER_02Aw, I mean the money pit was a really good trap. Like you said, it went off without a hitch. Okay.
SPEAKER_04So taking the fact that it went out without a hitch.

SPEAKER_04I believe I already put it above lawnmower basketball.
SPEAKER_02I would say definitely above that.
SPEAKER_04Now, do we think it's as good or, you know, do we think it's better or worse than the chandelier?
SPEAKER_02I think it's probably better than the chandelier.
SPEAKER_04I yeah, like the fact that yes, there was a goof, but it was quickly ungoofed.
SPEAKER_02It was quickly ungoofed versus him being stuck in it like in the Right.
SPEAKER_04So do we think it's better than special effects?
SPEAKER_02I mean, I I I mean I would say I would say that it is.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Now, do we think that it's better than the better mouse trap?
SPEAKER_02That that's a qu that's questionable. I I don't know what your thoughts would be. I mean, it's definitely better than all the other ones, but I don't know if it beats out a better. I mean, it it argument could be made for it being either way.
SPEAKER_04So the way I'm looking at it right now.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_04The better mouse trap is the perfect example of what you expect from the Scooby-Doo trap. Right. Because it is just so many different intricate parts working together. You know. Right. That we do have that with this one. Just not to the same scale.
SPEAKER_02Not the same extent.
SPEAKER_04Right. And yes, Scooby does goof, but it's ungoofed to where it's only the monsters trapped in the trap.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04I would almost say this was better.
SPEAKER_02So you want to put the money pit as number one.

SPEAKER_04Are you fine with that?
SPEAKER_02Fine with that. Wow. We are what? They took 13 episodes. 13 episodes to beat out a mouse.
SPEAKER_04Technically more than 13.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it took a quite a f took quite a few episodes to finally beat out a better mousetrap. Wow. Then the money pit being out the better mousetrap. Because like you said, if it if Shake if a Scooby wouldn't have been on goofed so quickly, it probably would have been below a better mousetrap. So because of the fact that it's you know that he does end up getting out of it, you know, it definitely makes sense that he would that it would be higher up, which is you know, which is unexpected that this beats out a better mouse trap. But it makes sense though. I mean, because you have all those factors, then Scooby gets ungoosed right away without any problems. Yes. And the ghosts are able to get trapped into it before Scooby gets.
SPEAKER_04So yeah, like the fact that it was episode yeah, episode three is what gave us the better mouse trap.
SPEAKER_02Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_04So it wouldn't be even it took like 10 episodes to get beaten out. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But I mean it was a really good, even though it wasn't explained as it wasn't explained in detail as it was in that episode, but yet it still was a really good trap that actually worked. If Scooby hadn't have gotten which what like you said, it wasn't his fault because this bag got caught in a tree tree sticking out, right? So it's not even his fault at all. Right. You know, unlike the other one where he tripped over the wire.
SPEAKER_04Which now brings us to the good old manifest of monsters. All right. Alright, so current monster rankings. Yeah. At 15, we've got Frankenstein's monster because of his complete inability to hold on to somebody after they've been given to him on a silver platter. Pushes away. Or in his case, a silver gurney.

SPEAKER_04Then we've got the ape-man who is so lazy with his costume design. Definitely. He just used what was given to him for the movie he was working on.

SPEAKER_02Yep. Who you know is just uh just what the actor is just hiding behind so he can do what he needs to do at the castle. Yeah. To warn people away, which it probably works for other people, but yeah. Apparently not for the gang, you know, because of course.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it doesn't really do much. Like then we have the Vasquez Castle Ghost. Yep. With his bed sheet-looking design.

SPEAKER_04And his lack of being able to grab somebody.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he's not very good at that.

SPEAKER_04Not very good there. Then we get the minor 49er. Yep. Ooh. It had a nice design, but also really lazy that all you did was just put on some stilts and stilts and bigger boots.
SPEAKER_02And bigger boots. Yeah. Taller boots, I should say.
SPEAKER_04And yeah, wearing the same outfit when you're the only other person besides. It's somebody else.
SPEAKER_02Right, because it couldn't have been the caretaker because he that was too Right. Wasn't the right look with his bulkiness and all that anyway. So it couldn't have been him.
SPEAKER_04Right. We then move to the Indian witch doctor. Yep. Captain Cutler's ghost. Captain Cutler. Werewolf. Werewolf. Then in the top five, we've got Charlie the Robot. Yep. The ghost clown. Yep. Pietro the puppet master. Also known as the kick the cloaked cavalier. The cloaked cavalier, who was very destructive as he destroys. Yes. Then we've got the Franken Vampire. Franken Vampire. Yep. And finally, so far, the best ghost of Scooby Dayware already. The ghost of Elias Kingston, who's managed to grab Shaggy off camera.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Isn't it like two times or something?

SPEAKER_02Yeah. So I think it was two. So he caught him the first time when it was the clue. And then the second time when it was they're giving the fortune.

SPEAKER_02Yeah, so I think it was two, I think. I could be wrong. I don't want to quote anything on that.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I don't want to either way. So the witch of the zombie.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so we're gonna separate them, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I think it would be best. Oh boy. One of them does more than the other.
SPEAKER_02One of them. Well, one of them is considered the more the henchmen. So the henchman usually does more than the actual technically.
SPEAKER_04Technical I mean technically.
SPEAKER_02Because usually when it's like with bad guys, usually the henchman does a lot more work than the and then than the than the leader. The leader comes up to get all the credit versus the henchman who did all the work. Usually that's how evil hen you evil henchmen and all that stuff is just how they work.
SPEAKER_04Oh, so alright. Do we do the witch first or the zombie?
SPEAKER_02I guess we'll do the witch first because she's gonna be lower, I think.
SPEAKER_04So so alright. Where should we put the witch?
SPEAKER_02That's a good question. I don't know where we'd put her. I mean, she's probably about the same area as the fortune teller. I mean, I could be wrong. Okay. I mean, I don't I mean, I mean, that's just starting off who she's feels better than, but she's kind of a So, alright, do we all right?
SPEAKER_04So was the Vas Do we think the Vas Kid's castle ghost is better than the witch?
SPEAKER_02No, that's a tough one. He's not. I mean, she does manage to catch Daphne, even though I think the the zombie was underneath the poe that thing at the end.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and you know, the one who most likely tied her up. But did manage to get Daphne to fall down a trapdoor.
SPEAKER_02Right. I mean, I think she's at least better than the castle. I mean, I just did that as a starting point saying, you know, definitely, but I think, yeah, I think she's definitely better than the castle ghost.
SPEAKER_04I could I mean I don't know Do you think she's better than the Black Knights? Oh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_02That's a tough one.
SPEAKER_04I'd almost say no.
SPEAKER_02No. Okay, yeah. I mean, she could be She's not as good as.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, she doesn't really do much of anything.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And like again, like she wasn't iconic enough to make it into the live-action movie.
SPEAKER_02She wasn't, not like her counterpart.
SPEAKER_04Right. Okay. So now that brings us to the zombie.
SPEAKER_02I mean, I would honestly say he's in at least a top three. I mean, I would definitely I mean, I don't know what you're thinking, but I at least want to put him up in the just to start. The top three. We can move him around as we feel like, but I mean just as a starting point, at least like better than all the ones below him, but I think he's better than the master. Yeah, he's better than maybe even better than the vampire because he can catch two different people.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he caught you know he caught Shaggy and Scooby on screen. Right. Daphne off screen.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04Now that's a tough one.
SPEAKER_02Is he because we know he's at least two. Is he gonna beat out Kingston?
SPEAKER_04Do you I'm trying to I'm trying to think like because right now, like, really most of what the zombie does have going for him is his entire the the entire fact that he grabbed Shaggy, he grabbed Scooby, you know, he didn't successfully tie up Daphne. Right. And stuff that we know Elias Kingston did. Grabbed Shaggy at least twice.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04Granted, he was off-screen.
SPEAKER_02Right, but then that just makes him the more sneaky.
SPEAKER_04He did successfully tie up the girl with your friend Sharon.
SPEAKER_02Yep. That was off-screen, but we saw her tat up on screen.
SPEAKER_04Yep. He you know, you know, he controlled the flying table.
SPEAKER_02Right.
SPEAKER_04You know, yeah you know, he did trick them into the mausoleum. Yeah, the mausoleum. Yep. You know, Elias Kingston was a fairly effective.
SPEAKER_02Right, he was fairly effective. Right. So I would say I I'd put zombie at two. At two, okay. I'm definitely in agreement with that because he's his sneakiness and grabbiness is just as good as Kingston, but yet Kingston put, I don't want to say put a lot more work, but he was a lot more, like you say, he's a lot more effective, but yet they're both effective in what they did, but yet Kingston just came out a little bit more effective.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But that's a good choice there, I think.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and that's a good showing. Like, and yeah, honestly, I'm surprised that you know he, you know, this is zombie now at number two. Like, we finally do have one of the live-action Scooby-Doo 2 monsters.
SPEAKER_02In one of the top three.
SPEAKER_04In like the you know, top two spots, you know. Yeah. Because yeah, before that was like Captain Cutler, who sadly got you know beaten down pretty successfully, like pretty much since episode six.
SPEAKER_02I mean, he's still in the top ten, but yet he's I mean, he's getting up there too, to where he could definitely be beaten out of the top ten. Yeah, and with I mean, I think so.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, and with only you know, about 12 episodes left in Scooby-Doo, where are you?
SPEAKER_02And I mean he's yeah, he's definitely gonna.
SPEAKER_04I don't think we have any more episodes where we have multiple monsters.

SPEAKER_04Because what next week is Redbeard.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Well, no, he has his accomplices, but then are we gonna count that? It's pretty hard to say.
SPEAKER_04I I think that because they're just pirates. Right. Like, granted, like, yes, there's they should be quote unquote ghost pirates. Right. Yep. But you know, that would be like with the Indian witch doctor the dog nappers. Right.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah, the guy's really rank them, so we might not rank these two as much as we did everybody else, but you know, we've got I know we've got the Phantom Shadows coming up. Yep.
SPEAKER_04You know, but that's two, so they pretty much rank together.
SPEAKER_02Right, yep. Oh, we have uh mystery mix-up with the two where yeah, the one guy and his zombie co cohorts. I mean, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Granted, we see the zombies do more than him. Uh whereas with Redbeard, we we see Redbeard more than we see The henchmen. Yeah, at least it feels like Redbeard is doing more.
SPEAKER_02Right. Yeah. No, that that works. I d you know just saying, but yeah, I mean, I think honestly, I think he's gonna be beaten out of the top ten. I mean, just yeah, just with how iconic some of the next ones are that are coming up. Yeah. I think he's gonna be beaten out.
SPEAKER_04Like, not saying there's yeah, and especially like when we start, you know, yeah, granted, we haven't really taken a lot of design into effect effect for a couple of these top ones for a while.

SPEAKER_04I mean, I do think the design of Alliance Kinston is a lot more involved in the zombie.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Right, right. But it's the effectiveness of the zombie that makes him more getting up to the top spot, apparently.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But yeah, some of the designs that we have coming up for sure are gonna be a lot more like say uh design-wise, at least for sure to be no Captain Cutler.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, oh yeah, most definitely. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And I now that I think of it, I can't is this the last one from Where Are You that was one of the live-action monsters? SPEAKER_04I could see why you wouldn't want to consider somebody like Spooky Space Cook, I think, in a live action design that would be.
SPEAKER_02That'd be kind of difficult to do. For a yeah, I would use special effect-wise, that'd be kind of difficult.
SPEAKER_04For a live action cartoon movie that you know parents are gonna take their kids to, yeah.
SPEAKER_02Right. I mean, it's just maybe that's why they skipped out on Creeper.
SPEAKER_04I could feel Creeper being a little creepy.
SPEAKER_02Okay, I mean, I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I I in a live action setting I couldn't see it. Like whereas, you know, the zombie had like goofy zombie look.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, he kinda yeah, he looked similar to the they made it really good for the special effects, so he looked very similar to the one on the you know episode.
SPEAKER_04Um boy, I can't wait till we cover that movie because I wanna I wanna comb through the scenes at the cool zonian.
